Vishalla

Mud flooring, bamboo walls, wooden tables, leaf plates and bowls and a dhinchanyu or a knee-support – this is what encompasses a regular meal at Vishalla. We urge our guests to sit on the floor, cross-legged, for good digestion.

Our meal times always begin with a Sandhya Aarti in our traditional village temple, by the kitchen staff. The cooked food is first offered to the Lord and is then offered to guests, as a sign of reverence. We believe that this is the reason why the food at Vishalla always tastes so good, so pious.
